This is not a Game, Boy

So I did this release via The Waveform Generator it's 11 tracks of chip-esque songs made on a tracker called Little Piggy. It has some vocal interludes and stuff and you should listen to it!
Later I'm planning on making some compact discs so you can touch it, I guess!

So I've been busy recording new songs for the up and coming fauxhound album, Lisandru ($noregazZzm) is doing a remix for it too. Anyhow I'm enjoying using lgpt it's a great tracker imo.

So tomorrow I'm playing a show in Dunedin, the poster is pictured above.

It's gonna be rad, like really awesome! Also I'm working on an a new release so here is a track from it, probably not the final mix but it's a taste. Disasteradio + WAOTS + Dunedin

So far June has been pretty awesome! Maya came to visit for a week and we had loads of fun, it sucks she's gone back to Dunedin but I'll be down there in July so it's not too long of a wait!

Also went with Lisandru, Owen, Lucy, and John to play a show in Wellington which was fun. Lisandru {$noregazZzm} played the best set I have ever seen from him it was actually so good!! Was really cool to catch up Chris {Old Grey Wolf} he plays with a bass guitar now and it sounds really rad, similar vain to Teen Fortress vibes!! We drove back to Auckland with Max {WAOTS} and Luke {Disasteradio} it was such a fun return journey and i brought a new phone on Tokoroa because I left my charger in Wellington :c. The next day we were very busy setting up the rave in the snakepit basement and the show was so awesome, so many lights and smoke and awesome visuals! I was very pleased with how my set went.

So coming up; I'm playing a seapunk house party this Saturday, my friends have finally occupied every single living space in this small apartment building so it's gonna be a pretty huge party i'm pretty excited about it! Also in July I'm going to play some shows in Dunedin with Lisandru which are going to be sick. The poster for the refuel show is above, i ripped it from the farcebook event page so the quality is lacking.

I'm on a really sweet buzz atm, and am super excited to see Maya again!

Fauxhound, Papaiti Records Bootleggings

So James Stuteley recorded the Fauxhound Tunnel set in Tauranga, he then kindly uploaded it on the Papaiti Records, Bootlegs website. Mean. It was a pretty fun show (see blogpost). Click the picture for free download it's 22mb.

Fauxhound at the Jizz Festival

So I played in Tauranga last Sunday in the 'Tauranga Music Sux Tunnel' it was a pretty sweet place to play. I was only disappointed that no trains went over the tunnel whilst I played, Ralph got two! It was really hot and I played the entire set on my knees. Here is a video of a new song I've been working on, it has no vocals. Also the crowd were very enthused... I actually got really good feedback (mostly from older people), one guy, Shane, said I reminded him of early Headless Chickens, wurd up!

This is Ralph +++ a train, Ralph are really awesome and Ary and Jess are super rad. I really hope I can play more shows with them in the future

I was a big success, and now, they message me back saying "you were a big success" and I say "inorite?"

Camp A Low Hum 2012

So CALH was in Wainuiomata {camp Wanui} this year. It was amazing, I was given the privilege to perform with $noregazZzm for both their sets, I also played a renegade as Fauxhound. Playing at camp is probably the most fun ever. The Fauxhound set went really well. There were a load of people there, which was especially cool seeing the only advertising was word of mouth.

There were a lot of amazing bands there but a few really blew me away, they are as follows;

Talkshow Boy/Keith! Party

While Spring Break played the lagoon pool party TalkShow Boy was owning the renegade room. This was seriously an amazing set. Talkshow Boy stormed around the renegade room spitting trash rap vocals to a variety of awesome backing tracks!

Foxtrot

So Flo Wilson is pretty cute and she is also Foxtrot. She did this one song, in the renegade room, with loads of breathing and I felt so weird.... it seemed so sexual but not in a smutty kinda way, I don't know it was weird and AMAZING.

So Josh and I made this track a very long time ago, we were just mucking around on his Dad's sample drum machine and then I added stuff in using my casiotone ck-500 and a bitcrush plugin. This is probably one of the very first chip-esque songs I have written.

In other news I got my gameboy back, minus the batteries and battery cover, pretty pleased about all this! I have no spare batteries so I can't check what the thief has done to my .sav(s).

Also Ivan (rubijaq) & Gen left this morning, it was super rad having them here, Ivan played one last set in Dave's room using Lisandru's Kaoss Pad, was fully sick! Also maybe now I'm gonna try eating vegan more often
