This is not a Game, Boy

So I did this release via The Waveform Generator it's 11 tracks of chip-esque songs made on a tracker called Little Piggy. It has some vocal interludes and stuff and you should listen to it!
Later I'm planning on making some compact discs so you can touch it, I guess!

So tomorrow I'm playing a show in Dunedin, the poster is pictured above.

It's gonna be rad, like really awesome! Also I'm working on an a new release so here is a track from it, probably not the final mix but it's a taste. The song is called 'Boy Et Al' and the release is going to be called 'This is not a Game, Boy!' It's all written on LGPT and will feature b-side(s) which will be songs from my Gameboy. 

Yeah that's all. 

Fauxhound at the Jizz Festival

So I played in Tauranga last Sunday in the 'Tauranga Music Sux Tunnel' it was a pretty sweet place to play. I was only disappointed that no trains went over the tunnel whilst I played, Ralph got two! It was really hot and I played the entire set on my knees. Here is a video of a new song I've been working on, it has no vocals. Also the crowd were very enthused... I actually got really good feedback (mostly from older people), one guy, Shane, said I reminded him of early Headless Chickens, wurd up!

This is Ralph +++ a train, Ralph are really awesome and Ary and Jess are super rad. I really hope I can play more shows with them in the future

So Josh and I made this track a very long time ago, we were just mucking around on his Dad's sample drum machine and then I added stuff in using my casiotone ck-500 and a bitcrush plugin. This is probably one of the very first chip-esque songs I have written.

So Dove and I made a song once, when I was in chch for this^ {never played the show as well but I don't seem to have the updated poster}, and we released it on the NZ chip compilation {which is here}. So my Gameboy + LSDJ cartridge got stolen from Poor/Lonely last weekend, all my song data is gone forever. I've been using an emulator, Gambatte, on my computer, I wrote this wee track, will most definitely add some vocals to it later on. I posted it onto 8bit collective and it's been getting a little bit of hate which has kinda turned into a joke- link. Have a listen, any feedback is much appreciated!

So I had the sweetest ever Gameboy sesh last night, I finished working on a melody that had been bugging me for a while and then I made a video for it this morning!

debut fauxhound release

So I have finally finished mixing the debut release for Fauxhound. The EP will be released for free download online, I'm looking for chip net labels to release it on, also I think I'll press a few CDRs which will have a bonus Fauxhound/Futurnari song on it. Anouska Van Der Werf, is designing the artwork (this is what I'm waiting on for the release), she's a graphic designer from Auckland and is doing an amazing job!!

I'm really pleased with the final product and think you should be excited!!!

MOD PARTY!!!!

So on Saturday James and I had a 5 hour mod party, it was so much fun! I got one of my light screens working but couldn't fix the power on my other DMG so I couldn't test whether the install worked. Also I switched the covers, now my DMGs are two tone!!

Long Weekend w/ Dove

Had the best weekend ever! Catching up with friends, staying at Dove's, playing scrabble, drinking beer, drinking coffee, playing Chiptune, playing powerviolence, The Great Depression, Mario Kart, making new friends, .... it was awesome.

I miss my friends in Christchurch (+ Melbourne) a lot, can't wait to catch up with them again.
