Heathers - Here Not There (2008)

So the post prior to this one featured an awesome documentary about DIY, it also featured the Irish duo Heathers. I 've been listening to these girls and although they, initially, reminded me of Tegan and Sara, as my listening experience progressed I found it to be very refreshing*. Some really nice guitar strums [fast] and pretty harmonies make it pleasant background music.

Roll Up Your Sleeves: A Documentary About Do-It-Yourself Counterculture (2008)

I'm thinking about renting out our lounge and kitchen to A Collective I'm working for. I think our lounge and kitchen would be a great place for a social centre/ band practice space. I still wish to live upstairs and share the rent.

The collective will hopefully run on pledges (AP's from people who support the cause), I know I will pledge, if it can be anything like the groups described in the video it'll be a great asset towards our community.

Waiting on permission from other flatmate, I really hope he can embrace this idea and see the potential.

Camping Trip

Went camping with Josh, in Omarama (or thereabouts). It was heaps of fun we packed all the essentials; tent, torch, food, etc etc, and camped by a swollen river (cause they were spilling the dam!). There was lots of water so we decided to go fishing, I caught this trout after a few casts. It was huge and I was very very happy.

Birthday!!

It's my birthday today, my age = x, where x^3 + x^2 - 433x - 2734=3 (I would like to see all working, no computerised function solvers).

[edit 30/1/2011]...When I got home my parents had sent me a package full of things that I like to eat, I am going up to see them for Christmas, also, my older sister Ilse sent me some socks, I like practical presents the best!

So far I've had a great day and tonight I'm going to see Coate + Piha Rescue + Glass Owls at the Wunderbar, it will be premium!
